Why is My Facebook Ad Active But Not Delivering?

Facebook has a lot of moving parts that must be perfectly in sync to ensure your ads are delivered to the right people. When your ads are showing as active but not delivering, it can be quite confusing and frustrating.

At the campaign level, your ads could be in one of several statuses: Active, In Review, Not Approved, or Deleted. Each of these statuses can have a different reason behind it.

Ads that have been disabled are not able to deliver to people on Facebook until you enable them again. You can do this by visiting the campaign in the Meta Business Suite and re-enabling it. This will immediately start delivering your ads again.

If your ads are in the In Review status, it means that they have been submitted to Facebook for approval and they are waiting to be reviewed. This can sometimes take a while, especially if you have made changes to the ad, including targeting, creative, or optimization. Make sure to wait to edit your ads until after the approval process is complete, since this can cause them to be re-reviewed.

Your ad might be in the Not Approved status for a variety of reasons, but the most common reason is that it violates Facebook's advertising policies. For example, your ad might have text that is too long or use an image that contains adult content. To fix this, you will need to review the Facebook Advertising Policies and edit your ad so that it is in compliance.
