Who is Linked to My Website?

When you know who is linked to your website, it can be invaluable for your marketing efforts. Backlinks are a major ranking factor for websites and by knowing who is linking to yours, you can reach out to those websites and ask them to link to you as well.

If you're the owner of a website, you'll have some tools already available to you for this purpose. Google Search Console, which you should be using anyway as a general SEO tool, provides access to your link profile under the "Links" tab. Here, you'll be able to see a list of referring domains that are linking to your site. You can then click each referring domain to view a more detailed report of the pages on your site that they are linking to.

The free tool Open Site Explorer, powered by the good people at Moz, is another great way to get a look at your link profile. This tool allows you to search for any URL on your site and shows you the exact list of sites that are linking to it, including both dofollow and nofollow links. It also shows you the anchor text used and the spam score of the referring domain, which can be helpful for evaluating the quality of your links.

You can even use this information to analyze your competitors' websites. By examining the links to their sites, you can gain valuable insights about their marketing and linking strategies.
