Superman is a great character. He’s a nice guy, he smiles and tries to see the good in people, and he has great physical strength and power. But there are some problems with him. First, his moral code is pretty weak. He isn’t supposed to kill, but he doesn’t stop bad guys from doing bad things by just walking away. And he doesn’t take on the heavies in his own way like Batman does. It would take a lot more courage and bravery to disarm a thug and risk your life than just walk away from him. He’s also an outsider, and he doesn’t have nearly as much room for dramatic depth as Batman does.
Batman is a great character too. He has every quality that a superhero should have, and he’s the perfect leader. He’s intelligent, he cares about his friends, and he has a lot of money and gadgets. He’s also a master tactician and has beaten much stronger enemies before.
He’s not as strong as Superman, but he does have some impressive abilities. He’s fast, he can fly, and he has some really cool gadgets. He’s also willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good, and he’s experienced some major tragedies in his life. This gives him a little more dramatic depth than Superman. Plus, Batman is a bit more interesting to read about. He is always walking along that grey area between right and wrong, and he has lots of personal issues to work through.
