How to Search For Specific Size Image on Google

Having the right image size is critical to a wide range of applications. From print design, such as brochures and flyers, to e-commerce, where product images play a crucial role in influencing customer decisions, specifying the proper image dimensions ensures visual consistency across various platforms and screens.

Until recently, Google Image Search offered a neat and useful filter that allowed you to search for any image by its exact size (height and width). However, this feature has disappeared for unknown reasons, as searchers have been complaining about it over the past week in the official Google Web Search Help forum.

Although the advanced image search by size option is no longer available, there are still several ways you can limit your image searches to a specific dimension. For example, to search for an image in a particular aspect ratio, use the imagesize:WIDTHxHEIGHT image search operator at the end of your query. For instance, to search for an HD image of the moon, type: “moon: imagesize:1920x1080”.

In addition to size specifications, Google’s advanced search options allow you to refine your results by adjusting additional criteria such as file type, color, and usage rights. This allows you to save time, find exactly what you’re looking for, and produce impactful visuals that align perfectly with your objectives.
