How to Merge Two Facebook Accounts With Same Name

How to Merge Two Facebook Accounts with Same Name

There are many reasons why people end up with more than one Facebook Page. Maybe they accidentally set up a new page when they meant to create the original, or maybe the original Page’s owner passed away and they want to keep the page alive. Whatever the reason, merging pages is a great way to combine audiences and information into a single place for consistency.

The process can be a bit tricky, however. Before you can merge your Pages, they have to meet certain criteria. First, both pages must be managed under the same Business Manager account. Then, both pages must be published and have similar names. Finally, all likes from the Pages you wish to merge must be transferred to the Page you’ll keep.

Once you’ve met all of these requirements, you can start the process. Click the “Merge Pages” link at the top of your Facebook page to open the merge request page. Choose the pages you want to merge and click the blue Continue button. Facebook will then review your request and notify you when it has accepted or rejected the merger.

If your merge has been approved, the Pages will be merged together and the Page with the most likes will become the primary page. If the merge has been rejected, you will receive a notification that explains why and provide suggestions for moving forward.
