Before multichannel marketing and SEO became the norm, brand managers relied on polls to learn about their audience’s thoughts and opinions. Facebook’s polls give you a quick and easy way to gather consumer data that can help you develop your business strategies and improve the quality of your products and services.
To create a poll on facebook story, first tap the + Add to your story icon at the top of your news feed. Select a photo, video, or boomerang. If this is the first time you’re creating a story, follow the on-screen instructions to give Facebook permission to create your account.
Once you’ve selected your content, tap the sticker icon at the top of the screen. Then, tap POLL to open the poll sticker menu. Select the “Yes” or “No” option and then enter your question and potential answers. You can also select the checkbox next to each possible answer to indicate that you want people to choose that option.
Once you’ve created your poll, share it on your business page or in a group. When your poll goes live, it will appear as a Story on the News Feeds of everyone who follows your page or is a member of the group. The results will be updated as people vote, and you can see who voted for each option. If someone DMs you about your poll, make sure to respond with a friendly, helpful tone—remember that positive interaction is key to building trust and loyalty with your followers!
