How to Edit Video After Posting on TikTok

The TikTok app is full of all kinds of filters, effects and songs to help you make unique videos. Most of the video editing is done while you are recording the video or before you post it online. But what if you need to edit a video that has already been posted? It is not easy to do, but there are a few workarounds.

One way is to simply reupload the video after making any necessary edits. To do this, open the video on your profile and tap the three horizontal dots. A menu will appear with options, including “Privacy settings.” Select “Only me” to make the video private and then repost it. This will save you the hassle of deleting and reuploading the video, but it will still have a watermark on it.

Another option is to use a third-party video editing software. These programs usually come with more advanced features and visual effects than the ones built into TikTok. They can also help you add music and voiceovers, create collages, and trim and cut clips. They may cost a little more than the built-in TikTok tools, but they can be well worth the investment if you are looking to take your videos to the next level.

The latest version of TikTok allows you to save your posts without a watermark, which is great news for creators who want to reuse their content elsewhere. To enable this feature, go to the More options (...) menu in the TikTok app and turn on the “Save posts without watermark” toggle.
