How to Create a Meta Work Account

Meta is introducing a new type of account that separates personal and business access. It’s called a meta work account and it allows users to use all of Meta’s tools for work with a separate login from their Facebook profile. In this article, we’ll show you how to create one and get started working with clients.

To begin, you need to set up your meta work account in the Business Suite tools menu. From there, you can link your Pages, Instagram accounts, WhatsApp accounts, and ad accounts. You can also add data sources and use Commerce Manager to update catalogs, resolve issues, organize Facebook and Instagram shops, and create ads to run in Ads Manager.

Once you have everything linked in Business Manager, it’s time to add your team members. If you’re an agency, you can give your team admin access or you can give them employee access to limit their permissions to the tools that they need to manage. To do this, open business settings and click People.

If you’re managing a client’s ad account, you can ask them to share their Pixel and conversion events with you. They can do this by opening business settings and clicking the Data Sources menu. They can then select the ad account that they want to share and click the Assign Partners button.

To enable automatic user provisioning, make sure that the Provisioning Status is On in both Microsoft Entra ID and Meta Work Accounts. For more information, see the Microsoft Entra ID provisioning service tutorial.
