TikTok, whose mainland Chinese counterpart is Douyin, is a short-form video hosting service owned by ByteDance that hosts user-submitted videos that can range in duration from 3 seconds to 10 minutes. The platform’s popularity has grown exponentially in recent years, with the app boasting more than 100 million active users as of 2022 (Cyberwise, 2022). While TikTok is a fun way to entertain and connect with friends, it can also be a powerful tool for brands.
The app allows you to combine multiple video clips while editing, which can help you achieve the desired effect and create more engaging videos. Moreover, you can easily upload the video from your device camera library to TikTok without using any third-party applications or tools. However, if you use a non-native video to make a tiktok, its quality may not be as good as that of a native one.
To get started, open the TikTok application and tap the red record button. This will open your gallery where you can select the photos and videos that you want to add to a tiktok. Once you’re done, tap Next.
At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see a preview of the finished video as well as information about it. This includes the number of hearts the video has received, who created it, and what song is playing in it. You can also see who is watching it in real-time.
