How to Add a Clip to a TikTok

If you’re the kind of person who does the #raindropchallenge or the #posechallenge, or who tries to impress friends with amateur music videos, TikTok has a feature called Stitch that allows you to import prerecorded content into your video. You can do this directly through the app or using third-party apps like Cross Clip.

The app offers you a list of clips that have been uploaded from your camera roll. Tap any of them to see the trim editor and adjust at what point the clip should begin and end. Once the editing is done, you get redirected back to the create page where the processed clip appears.

This is where you can add overlays, effects, sounds and other edits that will set your video apart. You can also drag the clips in the timeline tray to reorder how they appear. If you want to add a different soundtrack or sound effect, you can do that too by tapping the button at the top-left corner of the screen.

You can even add a title, description and hashtags to boost your TikTok’s reach. You can then preview your video and make any last-minute edits before hitting the Post button.

It is important to note that a TikTok filmed on your smartphone without having been filmed in the TikTok app will always be of lower quality than if it was filmed on the platform itself. That’s the trade-off you need to be willing to accept if you want to have a quick and easy way to upload multiple clips to your TikTok.
