How Can I Stop LinkedIn From Showing My Likes And Comments On My Followers?

LinkedIn has been getting a lot of complaints about spamming and bullying via the comments section. They’ve been working on new ways to give users control over what they see and who can comment.

You can now hide your likes and comments from your followers by clicking the three dots in the top-right corner of a post. This will open a menu that lets you choose who can view your likes and comments, as well as delete them from the feed. It’s a small change, but one that will hopefully help to keep the feed more interesting and less annoying.

The visibility settings above address activity visible on your central public LinkedIn profile, as well as any content shared to groups you belong to that are separate from your main profile. But there are also specific use cases where you may want to limit engagement on a post-by-post basis.

Annoying people are everywhere, and sadly, they are even on social media sites like LinkedIn. They’ll snarl at any post they think isn’t worthy of their attention and can easily get the conversation out of hand. Whether they’re attacking someone they dislike or simply don’t agree with the content you posted, it can be incredibly unpleasant.

However, you can disable commentary on a post-by-post basis to limit this type of activity. To do so, navigate to the post and click the options (typically three dots or a similar icon) to reveal a dropdown. Select “Disable Comments” from the options to disable commentary on this post and any subsequent posts.
